Based on the reveiws i purchased this item, COULDN”T wait to get it. It arrived very quickly. However, on first use the tank leaked and it left my floors soaking wet.

CAN U BELIEVE THIS, i was instructed to go to the manufacturer! Even though I purchased the item from DB Roth … i asked them for the manufacturer’s info, no response, So i searched the internet, i reached Reliable Corporation and if it wasn’t for Brian in the technical unit (i would have thrown the item away) who carefully explained that i was using the item in the wrong manner. I was holding down the trigger, when the trigger should only be held for 5-10 seconds with continuous mopping strokes.

In short…. GREAT MACHINE, but LOUSY SELLER…I would never buy another product from DB Roth. PS. READ EVERY SELLER RETURN POLICY>>> THIS SELLER IN PARTICULAR CHARGES a 30% restocking fee! IF you can even get a return authorization number from them .

In addition, Reliable Corporation would not accept the return (RIGHTFULLY SO) because i didn’t purchase directly from them but from a distributor, this being DB Roth, hhhmmmmm interesting concept, i needed to contact the compnay i PURCHASED the item from. 5 Stars I love steam cleaning my ceramic floors!
I don’t have to worry about my cat and cleaning products with this steam cleaner and the floors get much cleaner! Just as an aside-I had bad case of bronchitis and the Dr. recomended inhaling steam in the bathroom. I thought that was a waste of hot water so I steam cleaned my bathroom floor at least four times a day and breathed easier and got a cleaner floor!

Steams away dirt and germs and makes floors look like new. Follow the directions and you will not have excess water on your floors and if you turn the carpet attachment over you can set the steamboy on it as a resting stand for a few minutes without having to worry about discoloring your floor. Makes the house smell better and all in all I would recommend this product to anyone wanting a clean germ free floor. Being a retired man looking for stuff to do this really just cut my to do time to about a third when I do the floors for my wife but this is one chore I don’t mind having my time cut on. Great product.

4 Stars Cleans very well
The mop is a little hard to push at first until the pad gets wet. The handle on top of the tank helps with that. Once I got used to using it I think It does a great job. I am glad I got 6 pads with it. It is amazing how filthy they get–so that must mean it is cleaning!!

5 Stars Does the Job, Definitely has some flaws…
I’ve now owned this machine for approximately 3 months. (Long enough for one prefilter change.) Before I begin, let me give you some background information:

I live in an area that produces most of the US grass seed…. and I’ve become severely allergic to grass. In my 750 sq foot apartment, I had two honeywell filters. Even so, I had to be on 20-60 mg prednisone for 6 weeks to be able to breathe. (Average dose was about 30-40mg prednisone/day and I could not leave the apartment).

I got this filter partially out of desperation. I did not want to go through another grass season like that.

I can’t say (like some have reported) that I was able to be free of all medication, etc. But I got through the time with only 10 mg prednisone (which if you’ve ever been on it, you know that 10mg is VERY little!) and I could not tell if the pollen count outside was 30 or 1600. My breathing inside was no different. (And if I tried stepping outside, I felt like I was being hit with a sledgehammer, and my lungs would nearly instantly tighten up).

So for me, this filter is a keeper. I was MUCH healthier this year than I was the previous years without it, and I’m very grateful to the company for making something that has given me such asthma relief.

However, this filter is not without its issues that should be weighed in:

Minor issues with this air filter:

- This is a “slow-and-steady wins the race” filter. I would not expect you to feel serious relief from this filter for about 24 hrs after putting it in a room. Furthermore, if you have an exhaust fan running for any long period of time (ie, bathroom fan, kitchen hood fan, etc.) _this filter cannot keep up_.

-Doesn’t seem to filter out wood smoke (or perhaps one of the chemical byproducts of it) 100%. I was at a location where the front of the home had a wood stove that was belching out some smoke. Even though I was in a room at the other end of the house with a closed door, this filter couldn’t clear the smoke enough for me. I was forced to leave.

Cons:

-It is “plastic-y.” While the “lego-brick” construction is definitely ingenious, I’m concerned about longevity of the side clips and handles. If I’m paying that much for an air filter, I would expect the handles and clips to be rock solid, not like this.

-VERY Pricey: Don’t bother with this filter unless you really need it. If you are only an allergy sufferer, you might want to try the Honeywell filters first.

-Prefilter is pricey. I never heard about the prefilter in reviews of this device (I only heard about how you only have to change the HEPA filters every few years). The prefilter is supposed to be changed 4 times a year and they are $50 each. (!!) Worse yet, the “change indicator” is only a timer. So you have no real indication of the performance of any particular filter or whether or not you actually NEED to change it.

Conclusion:

If it didn’t perform its job so well, it would be a 3-star machine because of the cons. If you aren’t dealing with some serious breathing issues, I’d pass on this machine.

But if you are having serious breathing problems and would be willing to pay through the nose to get some relief, then I would HIGHLY recommend this machine.

5 Stars Fantastic product
IQAir HealthPro Plus Air Purifier is a solid product. At the lowest setting it is quiet enough for my son to sleep with it in his room and the difference it made was amazing. Gone are all of the allergy symptoms that we have dealt with for years during certain months. This product works very well, is economical, despite seemingly high initial cost, looks very elegant and I like that it is made in Switzerland. My family liked the first unit we bought so much that we ordered a second unit for the office as well.

One of the units came with a slight problem, after 5 minutes on the phone with IQAir, they FedEx’d me a brand new unit with prepaid shipping for the broken one. Great customer service!

I recommend IQAir HealthPro unit to anyone who wants to invest in a product that will work wonderfully for years, backed by a great company and will be the last air purifier that one will ever need to purchase.

4 Stars Good but noisy
Wow is this a hyped market. This filter is costly but it does work and without ozone generation. The main drawback is the noise. Comparatively the noise should be evaluated in an objective way, but any perceptible noise is a shortcoming for me, especially since this kind of filter (portable room type) can only work if it is kept nearby. I attribute a lot of this filter’s effectiveness to the V5 Cell filter, but I haven’t tested without it to be sure. One thing is for sure, this filter makes a very noticeable difference in the room where we keep it running. We run it on 1 (lowest setting) nearly continously in a 10×12 room.

Some advice: source control, ventilation, filtration (in that order). No one in my home is hypersensitive but we minimized the worst offenders in building, floor and wall materials and furnishings, and we control kitchen sources with a 650CFM overhead hood. Like many people, I have cleaner air outside than in, so ventilating is far more cost effective than trying to filter everything. We use 120CFM (fan rating) positive pressure ventilation in a tight 1900 sf building envelope (specifically we ventilate to ASHRAE 62.1 spec). Ventilation intake is filtered with 3M filtrete, but the main HVAC recirculating duct system cannot handle the pressure drop of serious filtration (most residential system can’t). Because a whole house filter is not just a bolt-on for us but would mean a total redo on the duct system, in-room filtration is the preferred solution. I researched and evaluated in room filters and bought this IQ Air. I have had it for more than a year and I believe it is described accurately — it’s not a cheap rigged up filter on a box fan (it still costs less than $1000) or some hyped up junk (read: Shaper Image or Oreck). Although I think it is fairly characterized, it’s not going to single-handedly fix air quality problems in a home (see: source control, ventilation first). Again, I rate this filter high, but it if I were to advocate a course for clean air it would be: source control, ventilation (then filtering).

5 Stars Exactly what I wanted
I have purchased many air purifiers in the past, but they are either very noisy, or not working effectively. IOAir HealthPro is definitely the best I have ever used. Even though it is expensive, but it is worth it. Due to my allergy, there were many miserable nights of waking up in panic when I could not breathe. Those nights are gone. I cannot put a price tag on a good-night-sleep; therefore I appreciate the engineers who created this product. It is quiet and working very effectively.

This unit seems to be superior to any other air cleaner that I have tried (and I have tried many over the years).

No ozone.

Filter use automatically monitored.

Filter replacement not needed frequently (every 2-5 years depending on the filter and use).

Energy use is significant but $20 a month for better health doesn’t seem outrageous.

Loud at highest setting. However, lower ones work fine for me.

I will probably buy another one. Air smells “clean” and now I want two to cover the majority of the house.

4 Stars Eureka Sanitaire
This canister vac is very powerful, and the canister is easy to carry. The attachment hose is pretty long, and the straight tube attachment is very nice, metal. It has the usual nozzle assortment, the main one (shown) has retractable hard bristles. One downside is the unit gets hot pretty quickly. Also, it is louder than I expected from the description. But I am very satisfied with its performance and glad I bought it, it works better than some much more expensive models I’ve tried.

5 Stars Great Vacuum!
I clean houses for a living and am constantly on a search for the perfect vacuum. While this vacuum will not tackle every job, it handles most.

Using this vacuum to dust furniture and upholstery is great. You can put it on the floor and roll it behind you, pick it up by the handle, or use the shoulder strap. The strap is excellent for cleaning stairs. I love the design of the wand, it feels a lot stronger than my previous oreck. On low pile carpet and area rugs, it does a pretty good job with the attachment it comes with. I purchased a carpet turbo head for mine, and now it does a really good job!

Unfortunately it won’t work very effectively on high pile carpet, so don’t throw away your upright just yet!

Maintenance for this vacuum is pretty simple. I use it to vacuum the exterior of itself, change bags frequently, wipe out the inside and clean the filter on a regular basis.

Overall, I couldn’t be more pleased with this model. All the parts are easy to locate online, which is important. The cord winding is a little annoying, but those retractable cords always seem to break anyway. The one thing I would change it the attachment storage. They are supposed to attach to the wand, but I find if you have the wand under a bed or furniture, you end up knocking the attachment storage off completely.

5 Stars Happy with vacuum
I had a eureka rally for over 20 years. The wheels came off but it still ran and was the best vacuum and I loved it, but to my dismay it finally died. I looked around for something to match the rally. This seemed like a close fit. It has good suction power, lightweight and it’s good on bare floors. Not so good on rugs, but I have an upright for that. The only concern for me was it seemed to get very hot, but I’ve been using it for over 3 months now and it has been fine.

What a useless machine this is: It is sinister how cheaply made this model is, with a motor too powerful for the flimsy plastic container it houses. Although it sucks plastic bags and book jackets like a storm, it fails to remove lint from the floor. While vacuuming, it heated up the room so much so, that on a hot day, I couldn’t keep on working after only 5 minutes of it. But the worse was that the plug and outlet were so hot to the touch, that no doubt had I not came on time to unplug it, it might have started an electric fire. It went right back to where it came from leaving me the worse for shipping costs.

3 Stars Did Anyone Notice the Shipping Charge?
This may be a great product but this review is really not about the item itself. I was just about to buy this micro vac attachment after reading the good reviews when I noticed the shipping charge and quickly changed my mind.

Shipping: $8.08. Item: $7.87. Am I the only one appalled to think of paying more for shipping than the item itself? Guess I will have to look elsewhere.

5 Stars THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX
I had this product some years ago and as I hadn’t used it I gave it to my son-in-law for his computer.

While trying to clean my window sills recently I realized that I was now sorry that I gave the product away so I placed another order. It works great for so many other uses besides cleaning your computer and its’ components (window sills, nooks and crannies and all of those small areas that your vacuum attachments can’t reach or are too big for). Guess you really do need to think outside the box with products.

The company, Cyberguys, handled the sale efficiently and I received this product in no time flat. I’m only sorry that I didn’t think to order two (2) sets. I did call the Cyberguys and their customer service is terrific and willing to work with consumers for additional attachments.

I bought this vacuum attatchment after reading the reviews hoping it would fit my vacuum. I was delighted it did. The best part I liked about what the review said was it had an adjustment to how much air you want. It doesn’t work that way on mine. The holes don’t close all the way so I hardly get any suction at all. When you turn the nozzle it leaves a gap. Very dissapointed in the product. I also had to use the extension for it to fit on my vacuum. I have a bissel. This was a waste of money

I bought this for my Dirt Devil Scorpion. My wife has severe alergies and used to sneeze constantly in the house, during allergy tests she pretty much came up positive for everything. She used to get allergy shots once a month, but no longer after this unit. Neither of us sneeze at all anymore. I also have a dog and smell is no longer an issue. Only problem is you can not use an air freshener in the house because it will have no odor. I have tried many air cleaner products and this is by far the best. It is big, its ugly and expensive to replace the filters, but I would pay double, worth every single cent.

5 Stars I can breath and I’m snot kidding
I did my research and found this is the best large room air purifier on the market. I have suffered from allergies all my life and have been through all the medications. I still use the medications but as I grow older they seem to be less effective so I thought it time to try an air purifier. My wife has just begun to suffer from allergies. Both of us noticed that when we were in the room with the IQAir we stopped having runny noses and stopped sneezing. (When I moved it to the bedroom the snoring stopped too.) So now I find there is only one thing to do and that is buy another air purifier for the bedroom. Since this IQ Air may be a “compact” it is still a lug taking it up the steps. I only wish I could afford to buy one for my car and one for my office.

A few years ago in San Diego, CA there was an emergency situation with fire outbreaks close enough to metropolitan area to create a toxic environment. My wife is susceptible to asthma and it made her very ill. In fact, our miniature maltese also became sick as well. I knew I had to find a top of the line air purifier asap. I researched many products and chose the IQ Air Healthpro compact home air purifier. It was expensive but the health of our family comes first. This is definately a worthy investment. We have utilized this product for several years and recommend it wholeheartedly.

5 Stars Finally….. Relief from Allergies!!!
I have only owned and used the product now for 2 days. But, WOW!!! What a difference! I am a SEVERE allergy suffer. And I own 2 cats. (I know, I’m crazy! But I love animals.) I have tried all the allergy medicines know to man. Perscription and otherwise. They work in the beginning and then I guess I build up an immunity to them. Anyway, I have FINALLY found relief! I am SO grateful to this company. I can breathe anywhere in my house now, with my 2 cats! The unit is pretty nice looking, but for a compact, still large. Seems very easy to use. Best of all, NO SET UP! Just attached the wheels if you want to use them. Seems very sturdy. Yes, expensive, but truly, WELL WORTH EVERY DIME. This unit knocks the Sharper image model out of the playing feild completely. The sharper image unit is also excellent, however TOO MUCH UP-KEEP. Too much constant cleaning and waiting for it to dry. Don’t I have enough to do already? Anyway, the IQ AIR is very easy to use, No set-up and best of all…. IT WORKS IMMEDIATELY! I was breathing better within the first 30 minutes of plugging it in. Now, when I turn it on, I breather easier right away. I guess there was so much crap in my air at first. The company provides a 30 day return policy. Try it, I am sure you will love it and not return it.

I’ve had this air cleaner for three years now, running constantly, and am just now replacing the two filters. As a prior review mentioned, the refills are an investment, but the machine has allowed me to set up an art studio in my home. Oil paint fumes are seriously toxic and when the machine is running there is no odor at all. Absolutely silent on the lower settings, barely audible at full fan speed. Highly recommend.

No one in my home is hypersensitive but we minimized the worst offenders in building, floor and wall materials and furnishings, and we control kitchen sources with a 650CFM overhead hood. Like many people, I have cleaner air outside than in, so ventilating is far more cost effective than trying to filter everything. We use 120CFM (fan rating) positive pressure ventilation in a tight 1900 sf building envelope (specifically we ventilate to ASHRAE 62.1 spec). Ventilation intake is filtered with 3M filtrete, but the main HVAC recirculating duct system cannot handle the pressure drop of serious filtration (most residential system can’t). Because a whole house filter is not just a bolt-on for us but would mean a total redo on the duct system, in-room filtration is the preferred solution. I researched and evaluated in room filters and bought this IQ Air. I have had it for more than a year and I believe it is described accurately — it’s not a cheap rigged up filter on a box fan (it still costs less than $1000) or some hyped up junk (read: Shaper Image or Oreck). Although I think it is fairly characterized, it’s not going to single-handedly fix air quality problems in a home (see: source control, ventilation first). Again, I rate this filter high, but it if I were to advocate a course for clean air it would be: source control, ventilation (then filtering).

5 Stars Exactly what I wanted
I have purchased many air purifiers in the past, but they are either very noisy, or not working effectively. IOAir HealthPro is definitely the best I have ever used. Even though it is expensive, but it is worth it. Due to my allergy, there were many miserable nights of waking up in panic when I could not breathe. Those nights are gone. I cannot put a price tag on a good-night-sleep; therefore I appreciate the engineers who created this product. It is quiet and working very effectively.

2 Stars An overpriced ripoff and poor technical service
This was supposedly a top-of-the-line air cleaner but I believe it was an overpriced rip-off and let me tell you why:

(1) Within one week of purchasing this unit from an authorized internet vendor, the unit got stuck at high speed and would not return to lower speed. Called vendor (who would pay you $20 to give them a good review) and they told me I could return it within the 30-day guarantee period. No help from them and no help from IQAir. Luckily, it returned to normal after one week.

(2) The power cable kept popping out. The castors at the bottom would break easily if you keep moving them around (not very well made). The most annoying part is any speed higher than 3 (up to 6) are very noisy and will wake you up. At speed 6 it sounds like a jet plane.

(3) After owning it for not quite 4 months and without using it for 2 weeks, it started emitting funny odor from the unit. The literature did warn you that chemical smell would be emitted from the V5-cell filter (specific for HealtPro Plus) come with this unit and any people who are sensitive to this type of smell may want to run it in an open space for 3 hours prior to its first use. However, this smell was generated after running the unit almost four months.

(4) The worse part was when trying to call their technical serivce. Called a total of six times in one day and could not get hold of anybody. To be fair, the person did call me back one time but missed me. Had to correspond by e-mails. He instructed me to keep only one filter in the unit at a time (Shlef 3 on top: Hepa filter; second: V5-cell filter and bottom Premax filter). They are a pain on the neck to take off but became easier when you got the hang of it. Found out it was the V5-cell (that was supposed to get rid of odor) actually emit the funny odor. The tecnical person at first said he would sell me another V5-cell filter prorated but changed his mind when I protested and decided to send me a new one free of charge. I honestly expect much better customer service (for solving problems and response time) from a company selling such expensive model. If this company does not improve its technical service, it is going be in troubles in a year or two with a bad economy. Why pay so much to suffer? ISE gives a 3-year in-home service for their hot-water dispensers, that is what I would call good service.

(5) You are better off just buy the IQAir HealthPro model because if you add $89 for the V5-cell filter to change it to a HealthPro Plus model it will still be cheaper than the price of a HealthPro Plus. They did not tell you that on the front end. My adivce is not to get the V5-cell filter at all because I do not believe it has as long as a shelf life the company claims. I beleive you almost have to change it more often in order to avoid funny odor.

(6) If you do not buy from IQAir, you have to be very careful. Many of these vendors have a restocking fee or a limited returning period for the unit. However, they do offer free shipping.

I believe I would not have so annoyed if I would have obtained better customer service (technical service) from IQAir. To me if they are a top-of-the-line air cleaning company they should act like one and offer their quality customer services equivalent to the quality of their products. Otherwise, they would soon be out of business just like all other companises who have great products but with poor services. Do you agree? I hope somebody from IQAir will read my comment and do something about it.

5 Stars Excellent air cleaner
This unit seems to be superior to any other air cleaner that I have tried (and I have tried many over the years).

No ozone.

Filter use automatically monitored.

Filter replacement not needed frequently (every 2-5 years depending on the filter and use).

Energy use is significant but $20 a month for better health doesn’t seem outrageous.

Loud at highest setting. However, lower ones work fine for me.

I will probably buy another one. Air smells “clean” and now I want two to cover the majority of the house.
